70s Birthday Bash

My 34th birthday is next week, but because of timing issues I had my party last weekend. I realized that this is the fourth birthday I've celebrated in Bangkok, which is quite a milestone for me given my record of moving around.

Because I was born in the 70s I decided this year's party should have a 70s theme, and a lot of my friends got in on the act and dressed up with me. I had an outfit made here, based on some pictures I downloaded from internet. As he was fitting me, my tailor remarked that he used to make a lot of those kinds of pant suits back when the Air Force was based in Thailand- I'm sure he did!

My friend Steve hosted us at his apartment (it's a great place for a party) and we finished the evening at Quake, a new bar where a Bangkok favorite band, the Big Boy Band, is now playing. It was a fabulous evening, and I still have 8 more days between now and my actual birthday to keep the party rolling!
