USA Fair Press Visits

The USA Fair is in a few weeks, and Kittie (my colleague) and I went along with the PR company to visit the press and promote the fair- believe me, it's much less fun than it sounds.

The fair begins on October 31st, so we're having halloween activities for the kids that night. We had kids join us on the press visit semi-dressed for Halloween, giving out candy and fliers to the reporters. They were so cute! Apparently these are kids who make appearances on some sort of game show- I'm not really sure of the whole story, but I guess they're semi-famous. My role was to look like an American (not terribly hard for me to do, I guess, then stand around in the offices while everyone spoke to each other in Thai. Oh well, I guess there are worse ways to spend an afternoon or two.

Perhaps the highlight of the day was the van that we rode in. The PR company uses it to drive around the famous people that they bring to town, and they've all autographed it. They've driven the Black Eyed Peas, George Benson and Al Jereau, Linkin Park, Maroon 5, etc. I told my friend, "I'm sitting where Fergie sat!"
