Hua Hin

This was Julio's last weekend in Thailand before moving back to the states, so we decided to take off for the beach for a few days. Hua Hin is a few hours outside of Bangkok. While it's not as nice as the islands down south, it's close and an easy getaway. We were there Thursday- Saturday, and we had the beach to ourselves.
We spent the days walking the beach, watching the sand crabs and collecting shells, and at the pool at our condo. I even managed to make friends with the local cat, who just decided that my lap was the place where he needed to lay.
Notice the pictures of the fishing boats. When we arrived Thursday they were on dry land, but by the time the tide came completely in, they were rocking on the waves, ready to be taken out for the evening.
I must admit that I feel a bit like a tourist. I opted for no sunscreen and am STILL paying the price with a sunburned stomach. Oh well.
It was a great few days away from the hustle and bustle of the city, sunburn and all.
